Bellarmine

Registration is quickly filling up for Bellarmine University's first Center for eWorld Education seminar "Leadership in the New Economy."

 

eMain publicity and beautification

Community light posts, buildings, and streets are being affixed with eMain signs In order to better define the boundaries of the eMain neighborhood

 

The eMain Project Team announced the completion of eight key milestones:

 

Feb 12 eMain Launched

Clock Tower is first building.Ý Will offer nearly 130,000 square feet of renovated technology space and three tenants are pre-committed to the building: Win.Net, Bellarmine University and BellSouth. Construction to begin October 1, pending final approval of funding.

Website created and receiving great success. This website has been receiving great success and is continually undergoing refinements. Recent additions include information on available properties and a sign-up option to receive the eMain eNewsletter. Undergoing continuous refinements.

 

Feb 17 Bellarmine University

Developed curriculum and strategy for the eMain eWorld Education Center. First executive-level seminar will launch on October 6 - ìLeadership in the New Economyî taught by nationally renowned educators and business practitioners.

 

March 5 eMain Master Plan

Completed. Plan includes public/private development; lists of needs from amenities to support services; and graphic renderings of proposed developments. Plan is being used to drive public sector infrastructure improvements.

 

April 20 bCatalyst

Business accelerator that helps start-up companies grow and mature faster.Ý Became eMainís first tenant. Located in the old Forge Building at 111 East Washington St. and currently has two e-businesses accelerating.

 

April 24 Main and Washington Streets

Seven buildings being renovated into a $19.2 million complex featuring a European-style boutique hotel, apartments, restaurants, offices and a plaza through a group led by local architect Jim Walters.

 

May 8 Infrastructure Report

Developed Infrastructure and technology standards.

 

Sept 1 Waterfront Park Place

Bravura announced the development of a 22-story residential tower.

 

Sept 7 Cobalt Ventures

-Renovating the former Louisville Scrap Building at 301 East Main Street

-Converting Schiller Hardware building at Market and Hancock into offices and restaurants.

-Paving four acres into roughly 600 parking spots at the corner of Witherspoon and Preston.

Groundbreaking set for Waterfront Park Place tower

September 1

A groundbreaking was held on Thursday, August 31, for Waterfront Park Place - a $37.8 million 22-story residential tower.Ý The building, which will be located at Witherspoon and Floyd Streets, will overlook the Ohio River.
