eMain Team Meeting
and Reports
Bellarmine's Center for eWorld Education is developing
a
series of executive-level seminars
for the next term that will be held through the business week. Seminars are scheduled to
begin in March. A video is being produced to be used as a sales
and marketing tool for the seminars.
Renovations have begun.
Cobalt Ventures at 301 East Main Street hosted the first
off-site eMain Team Meeting. Cobalt Ventures is renovating the facility
and has done a great job of preserving some of the original features,
such as the old smoke house doors. Cobalt is also in the process
of preserving the Schiller building. In addition work will soon
begin on the parking lot located at the corner of Floyd/Washington/Witherspoon/Preston
Streets. Once completed, costs are expected to be competitive with
surrounding parking.
The Sidewalks between 2nd and 6th
Streets are undergoing landscaping and other improvements, and will
include trees and park benches. The project is expected to be completed
by the 2001 Kentucky Derby.
The first New Yearís Eve bashí held in Slugger Field
was a huge success. The crowd was estimated at about 2000.
The Jefferson County
Public School District received the TechnoVision Education-Government
Award for programs in cutting-edge technology.
Kentucky workers
in need of upgrading their work skills can now "click"
