On
February 29, March 1 & 2 the first design charrette
for eMain USA was held. Approximately 90 individuals
attended the first session of the three-day process!
Attendees
represented a wide diversity of interested parties - property
owners, e-business reps, venture capitalists, educators, technology
professionals & other diverse stakeholders who contributed
input to the visioning sessions.
Results
included initial plans for private & public development;
lists of needs from amenities to support services; graphic
renderings of proposed developments; & a growing level
of excitement as team
members worked hard to shape their collective vision of an
"urban village," friendly to the e-commerce community!
