  The Bellarmine Center for E-Business and E-Commerce

Bellarmine College plans to develop an integrated educational program, located on eMain, which will address four critical constituencies:

1. Preparing the knowledge worker by combining the depth and breadth of a liberal arts education with the practical knowledge of a technical education;

2. Preparing existing workforces to broaden their capacities and impacts on businesses undergoing transformational change;

3. Providing both new and existing companies with the tools to compete in a fast-moving and rapidly developing "new economy".

4. Serving as an incubator for eBusinesses they form, ramp up, and expand.

This will help create new jobs for the Greater Louisville region and for this emerging economic sector.

To serve these objectives, Bellarmine is searching for appropriate space in the eMain corridor to be in close proximity to the emerging enterprises, which might most benefit from the academic programs.

Bellarmine is currently engaged in conducting a survey of e-Commerce needs, and will develop a curriculum designed to meet the needs of both start-up and existing companies, of both current and potential e-commerce employees.
